Roca Group earned €2,057 million in 2023.
Spanish multinational maintained 2022 revenue while boosting investments by 13% to €153 million in 2023.

Roca Group, a global leader in ceramic sanitaryware and bathroom products, reported a turnover of €2,057 million in 2023, down 1.7% from €2,092 million in 2022, and an EBITDA of €318 million, or 15% of revenues. The Argentine hyperinflation adjustment hurt net profit, which was €27 million.

Given the market's severe construction recession and high inflation, these results were notable for the Barcelona-based multinational, which has 79 factories and 20,000 employees throughout Europe, America, North Africa, and Asia.

The group's investments rose 13% to €153 million in 2023 from €135 million in 2022. These funds were mostly used to increase production capacity, boost Competence Centres, pursue digitalization and new product development, meet sustainability roadmap targets, and upgrade facilities and showrooms like Roca Galleries and Laufen Spaces.

Last year, the business acquired Madeli in the US to strengthen its premium bathroom furniture position, Clarke in the US to complete its bathtub and shower tray range, and Alape, a German manufacturer of high-quality steel washbasins. After acquiring Idral on July 1, Roca strengthened its tapware footprint.

Roca Group is working toward zero net emissions by 2045. From 2018 to 2023, the group cut scope 1 and scope 2 CO2 emissions by 50%, waste output by more than half, and energy usage by 57%. At Laufen, Austria, the firm opened its first electric tunnel kiln for sanitaryware firing in early 2024. Through these efforts, Roca Group has placed itself in the top 3% of firms worldwide for sustainable performance, obtaining a Gold Medal from Ecovadis.
